The University has launched its Carbon Management Plan - a key component of our wider commitment to the environment and sustainability. The Carbon Management Plan will inform and direct the actions taken by the University in embedding carbon management in order to reduce carbon emissions by 30% by September 2015 from our 2005/6 baseline.
The University is implementing a Carbon Management Plan to reduce CO2 emissions, the majority of which arise from consumption of energy in buildings.
All colleagues and students can help reduce carbon emissions of the University through simple actions such as switching off lights, shutting down PCs, deciding if documents really need to be printed and only boiling the water you need. To find out more please click here.
