Jun 19, 2019

Two University projects have been included in the 2019 State of the Relationship Report from the National Centre for Universities and Business (NCUB). Published every year, the State of the Relationship shines a light on the collaboration that is taking place across the UK between academics, business and public sector partners.

Salford features twice in the report which was launched today at an event in London, with case studies from the Degree Apprenticeships team and the Sustainable Housing and Urban Studies Unit (SHUSU) in the School of Health & Society.

The collaboration with Siemens to develop a bespoke skills solution for its workforce, which saw the first cohort of apprentices graduate this year, has been recognised under the category Embedding a technical route. While the work between academics in the School of Health & Society and the Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA) to tackle homelessness and rough sleeping has also been  featured.
