Cycle to work on Wednesday and enjoy a free breakfast on us
Aug 13, 2018
We are celebrating Cycle to Work Day this Wednesday 15 August – and we’d love you to join in!
Cycle to Work Day is an annual celebration of cycling and is the UK’s biggest cycle commuting event. If you’ve not tried cycling to work before, it’s a perfect chance to give it a go. You can read some top tips for commuting by bike on the Sustrans webpages here. For those of you who cycle regularly, Cycle to Work Day is another great reason to hit the road. Find out about the University’s Cycle to Work scheme and the benefits it offers here.
Cycle to work on Wednesday 15 August and you can receive a free breakfast. Simply bring your bicycle helmet if you wear one, (or if not - your bike lights, paniers or even just a photo of your bike on campus would be fine too) to MediaCityUK, Maxwell, Allerton, Sports Centre or Crescent House reception to claim your breakfast voucher*.
We will also be holding a photo competition on Twitter; tweet a photo of your cycle commute using #UoScycles and you will be entered into our prize draw to win a bundle of goodies – a D Bike Lock, a reusable coffee cup and delicious Fairtrade chocolate.
If you have any questions about Cycle to Work Day, please contact Neva Mowl on ext. 54233 or 0161-295 4233.
