Appointment of Professor Emeritus
Jan 05, 2018
I am delighted to announce that at the last Council meeting, Professor Tony Warne was awarded an Emeritus Professorship.
As a Professor in Mental Health, Tony has made a sustained contribution to the leadership of the University since 2007, initially as Dean of the then School of Nursing and latterly as Associate Pro Vice-Chancellor leading our ICZ Programme successfully through its first phase.
He has recently retired from the University, but will stay strongly connected with us through his existing activities including PhD supervision, project work and continued research on mental health care, carers’ voices and healthy organisations.
His expertise and representation on significant national and regional bodies will ensure our strategic direction remains strongly aligned to national policy direction and research challenges and will undoubtedly enhance our profile in the Nursing sector.
I am sure you will join me in sending our warmest congratulations to Tony on this well-deserved award.
