Library makes changes to overdue items process

We want to replace lost books as soon as possible and will be invoicing staff once your books have gone seven weeks overdue.
Your book becomes overdue when you’ve had it on loan for a year or if it’s been requested by somebody else.
After your book goes overdue, you have 13 weeks until you become liable for the replacement cost of the book as it will have entered our re-ordering process.
We’ve improved the payment process, meaning that you can now pay online via the ‘my account’ feature on library search and in person at our library kiosks.
