Invitation to talk and discussion around gender equality in the workplace with Sally Brett
Sep 13, 2017
Colleagues are invited to attend ‘Women in the Workplace: the difference a generation makes’, a free event sponsored jointly between Salford Business School and Alliance Manchester Business School. In attendance will be Sally Brett, Head of Equalities at the British Medical Association, and former Senior Equalities Policy Officer of the Trades Union Congress. She’ll be reflecting on the progress that has been made on gender equality in organisations over the past generation and considering the ongoing challenges facing women in the labour market.
This talk is aimed at anyone interested in debates around gender equality in organisations, the gender pay gap, women’s career progression and specific challenges for women in medicine.
The event will take place at our MediaCityUK campus on Wednesday 11th October (6pm-8pm). Staff who would like to attend should register in advance here. Please note there will be a drinks reception and opportunity to network following Sally’s talk.
