Is now the time to learn a foreign language?
Is now the time to learn a foreign language?

Salford Languages, our English Language and Modern Foreign Languages Teaching Centre in the International Business Development Office, provides language learning opportunities in seven of the top ten most important languages for the UK’s future – Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese and Spanish.

The fee for each yearlong course (starting in September) is £150 and is open to all members of the University community. Places are limited – so book now to avoid disappointment. The Salford Languages team are passionate about teaching language and their classes are student-centred and designed to develop your practical language skills, in a friendly, supportive environment.

The language courses are taught at different stages to suit your level and are run during the day and also in the evening so they can fit into your work schedule. The first stages will help you cope with everyday situations abroad and when dealing with visitors; the higher stages aim to develop your ability to use the language more widely in a professional context.

Learning a foreign language with Salford Languages will help to increase your intercultural awareness, give you the confidence to work and travel abroad, expand your options for global partnerships, put you on a par with your multilingual international peers and give you an edge when engaging with international students.
