Collaboration, Innovation and Inclusivity - Let's unite for Dementia
Apr 10, 2017
The Salford Institute for Dementia is committed to listening to and collaborating with people whose lives are affected by dementia and those who work to make a positive difference to living with dementia.
The Institute is holding an "Evening with the Right Honourable Hazel Blears and special guests" on 16 May from 5pm to 7pm in the Council Chamber in The Old Fire Station, Peel Campus.
The event, held within Dementia Awareness Week, will provide people with the opportunity to explore health, wellbeing and society through the lens of a person living with dementia and will consider:
- The challenges of collaboration in a joined up health and social care environment.
- Innovating in health and social care in the light of a longer living population and a reduced funding context.
- Creating inclusive communities that foster wellbeing for all.
It will centre around a panel discussion with The Rt Hon Hazel Blears, Dr John Zeisel from the USA and Professor Anthea Innes, Director of the Salford Institute for Dementia and individuals living with or caring for someone living with dementia.
