Professor receives prestigious accolade

Congratulations to Professor Charles Egbu, from the School of the Built Environment, who has been named an Eminent Member of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (RICS).
The accolade comes in recognition of more than 20 years’ involvement in the surveying profession in terms of teaching, research and practice, and the substantial service rendered to the wider surveying profession over the years.
Charles said: “I am really delighted to be welcomed into the RICS, and for the recognition accorded to me for over 20 years of service and contribution to the general areas of surveying education, research and practice.”
The title of Eminent Member also means that Charles is welcomed as a Fellow of the RICS.
Charles is Professor of Project Management and Strategic Management in Construction at the University, as well as Associate Head for Research and Innovation in the School of the Built Environment.
He has published ten books and more than 300 academic papers in the general areas of construction and property management.
