Security invests in two new electrically assisted bikes
Jan 11, 2019
Great news, the University will soon be welcoming two assisted bikes onto campus. Each bike will be kitted with an AED and first aid kit - the bikes are intended to improve our ability to respond to incidents and allow our experienced Security team to put their training into practice.
“The bikes will offer a great way for us to widen our reach on campus and engage with students and colleagues while providing reassurance,” said Operations Manager Vinnie Greener. It will also allow us to deter crime by being able to give a presence much quicker. We’ll have up to eight members of staff out on about on the bikes so don’t be surprised if you see one whizzing past you any time soon.”
The assisted bikes are a great example of how we’re further investing in the Security of our staff and students.
