If you ventured into the city centre this weekend you can’t have missed a lively rainbow-packed Manchester, all in the name of Manchester Pride. To mark the occasion we invited Graham Rimmer and Helen Clegg from our LGBT+ network Salford Proud onto the podcast. They gave us the lowdown on what the network’s all about, walking in the Parade and why they think Salford is ahead of the game when it comes to being an inclusive place to study and work.

They also shared with us the role models they feel are doing first-rate job in improving LGBT+ progressivism, as well as how as a society we can do more.

What does LGBT+ mean?

LGBT+ stands for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Trans plus. The ‘plus’ is inclusive of all other marginalised and minority sexuality/gender identities.
