Salford Speaks: Women's Voice's Kirsty & Tahira talk female empowerment in education
Mar 27, 2018
Earlier this month we celebrated International Women’s Day in style at our fabulous Women’s Voice Awards. The ceremony was the brainchild of Women’s Voice Chair Dr Kirsty Fairclough and Vice-Chair Tahira Majothi. The pair popped into the studio to tell us how the awards went, along with how their staff network has grown from strength to strength over the past year.
Plus, if you’re inspired by the amount of girl power pumping through your headphones, they’ll also be telling us how you can become a member of the Women’s Voice steering team which will shortly be having a reshape. You can join the Women’s Voice mailing list by emailing firstname.lastname@example.org or follow them on twitter at @uoswomensvoice.
You can stream the podcast below on Soundcloud or even subscribe to Salford Speaks on iTunes (just search 'Salford Speaks'). As always we’d love to hear your feedback so do get in touch at Internalcomms-Uos@salford.ac.uk. Happy listening!
