Pit-stop CPR event a roaring success
Nov 10, 2017
A big thank you to the volunteers from the North West Ambulance Service for letting us take part in the UK’s largest ever cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) training event.
Event organiser, Amanda Tilley says “The importance of learning such skills can’t be overstated. Knowing how to quickly and properly perform necessary life-saving techniques, including CPR and use of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs), can often mean the difference between the life and death of a victim.
"By receiving this 'hands-on' tuition in CPR and other life-saving techniques, staff and students can have the confidence to respond effectively in the event of an emergency”.
Great fun was had by all and we now have more than 200 new lifesavers within the university community - including one lion!
