Unleash your creativity with Create Salford

We’ve got lots of exciting (and mostly free!) events happening between now and 15th June as part of Create Salford 2017. The festival showcases the creativity, thought and production skills of our final year students at the School of Arts & Media.

 

 

 

Coming up this week:

Transcultural Poetry and Performance Workshop

Thursday 18th May, 11.30am-3pm at New Adelphi Building, Studio Theatre

Join Mamta Sagar and Nia Davies as they explore poetry as a tool of transformation across cultures and languages.

Mamta Sagar is a Kannada poet, playwright and translator from India teaching creative writing to the film, visual arts, design and literature students in Bangalore.

Nia Davies is a poet and editor of Poetry Wales. She is doing practice-based research at the University.

Suitable for all, activities will include creative research, exploring multilingualism, performance practice, visualising words and metaphors drawing, doodling, audio and video work.
