Colleagues are invited to attend ‘Women in the Workplace: the difference a generation makes’, a free event sponsored jointly between Salford Business School and Alliance Manchester Business School. In attendance will be Sally Brett, Head of Equalities at the British Medical Association, and former Senior Equalities Policy Officer of the Trades Union Congress. She’ll be reflecting on the progress that has been made on gender equality in organisations over the past generation and considering the ongoing challenges facing women in the labour market.

We are currently experiencing an intermittent but serious issue with Equitrac, the software managing the release of documents from printers. There have been some reported incidents where colleagues have tried to release their documents at one printer, but the printing has released from a different printer, elsewhere in the University.

Last week (30th August-1st September) the School of Arts and Media hosted the TaPRA Conference 2017 in the New Adelphi building. The Theatre & Performance Research Association (TaPRA) exists in order to facilitate research through and into theatre and performance. Salford academics Professor Sheila McCormick and Dr Joanne Scott acted as conference conveyors for the event and worked with our conference team to secure the event.
